Cacti

We headed out today and we went to Saguaro National Park East. It was pretty interesting to see all of the various cacti. The Saguaro cactus is what is typically used to represent a cactus in most southwestern things that I have seen. When you get up close to one, you notice their massive size. They grow up to 50 feet tall and can weight up to 2 tons! Their life cycle is around 200 years but it can take up to 75 years before they grow their first "arm". We hiked a little to get closer looks at the wildlife. Before arriving at the Park we wandered through a farmer's market.
We also went to Wal-Mart. What trip is complete without a Wally World adventure? We actually went because we needed sunscreen. The weather today has been great. It was in the 80's. Right now it is 67. Tomorrow the high is 91...I think I get to go back to snow. Now I know why people stay here during the winter. It was actually pretty funny when we were driving through the downtown area. People drive golf carts in the road instead of cars. I guess it saves on gas...especially if you can plug it in to charge the battery. We went out to dinner tonight with a couple that Gabe knows from work. It was a lot fun. Later on in the evening Gabe and I donated $20 to an Indian reservation via slot machines. Now we are back in the hotel watching T.V. I am not sure what we are going to do tomorrow.

I will try to post some pics a little later.
